Proverb of the Day 37

Greetings and blessings to you in the LORD!

“For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance,

He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.”

(Proverbs 6:34-35)

* In context this is written where the husband catches another man committing adultery (A subject that you can’t avoid discussing if you read through Proverbs) with his wife. I wish to point out that we operate in the love and character of God in all matters, so that we do not provoke people to jealousy. Also our God is a jealous God when we commit adultery on Him when we put others or other things before Him.

Holy Father you are a jealous and just God. We thank you so much for your grace and mercy. Forgive us for anytime we put anything or anyone before you. Lord you will be first in our lives. Lord help us to not avoid sinful matters because of your grace; but let your grace be the very reason we discuss sin by your love, and as we know you love us we want to live our best for you in love. Lord if any one has been wronged by someone (especially if somebody committed adultery with their spouse) help them to forgive them. Lord you say vengeance is yours, our job is to forgive them, pray for them, and love them. So if there’s anyone reading this Lord speak to them by your Spirit. Lord help us to live according to your godly character. Thank you for your love.

In Jesus name we pray, amen!
