Greetings and blessings to you!
Title: All That Is Mine Is Yours
Miracles In The Midday with Prophet Waiters Briley
June 10, 2018
Scripture reading: Luke 15
Pray/Praise: In Psalm 84:11 (AMP), “For the LORD God is a Sun and Shield; the LORD bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
This lesson is intricate and has many key verses, yet I will choose the verse that I hope we come into agreement with God. “And he said unto him; Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” (Luke 15:31 KJV)
In this verse we see the father speaking to the elderly son. We will use this verse to pull out the truth that God is always with us, and all that God the Father has is ours (Inheritance, heir, and joint-heir with Christ Jesus).
*For this teaching I will use my belief that the elder son did not truly recognize or understand his son ship, relationship he had with his father, or the benefits that came with it. Yes I believe it’s safe to say he was angry and jealous in the story; but I believe he didn’t appreciate or understand the relationship he should have had with his father.
We must have relationship to truly walk in our son ship. When we understand this truth we will come into unity and we will fully benefit from the blessings that are available, and we will better benefit others.
God is a good Shepherd and a good Father.
1Peter 2:25 (KJV) “For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”
We know that Jesus reconciled us back to the Father. God wants us to have more than that. He wants us to fully partake in the blessings He has made available to us through our belief in Jesus as LORD! And God wants us to truly benefit as a body!
As Prophets, Apostles, etc.. God has called us to bring the body into unity of faith. Look at Ephesians 4:11-16 (KJV) , If we cannot walk in unity with God, we cannot truly walk in unity with one another. We cannot truly benefit one another best if we are not living in the blessings God has for our lives.
“11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
John 17:9-11 (KJV) “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.”
What I have is thine – Oneness, unity, and relationship!
*Relationship was missing between the elder son and the Father!
Because there was no relationship the son did not:
1. Fully experience the love the Father had for him.
2. He did not recognize the presence of the Father and the benefits thereof.
3. Recognize His inheritance, his heir ship
4. The security and comfort that comes with relationship between Father and Son.
5. All the blessings the Father had were available to him.
The elder son was there and lacked all though what he needed was there. The younger son lacked in verse 14 because he spent all, there arose a mighty famine in the land. In Psalm 23 the bible tells us the LORD is our Shepherd we shall not want (We shall not lack). We have this promise! It’s a benefit, part of our inheritance as a individual and as the body of Christ!
God’s Word tells us In Psalm 84:11 (AMP), “For the LORD God is a Sun and Shield; the LORD bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
I pray that we experience all that God had made available to us! God wants us to have and live life abundantly!
